I remember the excitement of creating the hybrid toy. As a boy I would tear apart my toys and attempt to create something else, something that worked mechanically or electronically. I wanted to bring life to the lifeless. Painting works much the same way, bringing life into the wooden board or the cotton canvas, free to go anywhere, do anything. Much like reading, but I am in control. Novus vita.
